The Wellness Project For
Love & Grace
We are a non-profit organization, aiming to improve the maternal and fetal health by raising awareness through advocacy programs and providing support for women affected by preeclampsia.
Preeclampsia is a dangerous pregnancy complication, characterized by high blood pressure and is a leading cause of maternal illness and death worldwide. Women in low to middle income countries in particular experience preeclampsia seven times more compared to high income countries. In Nigeria, the incidence of preeclampsia has been reported to range from 2% to 16.7% of pregnancies and leading to approximately 37,000 maternal deaths yearly.

Our Vision
We envision a world where preeclampsia is a preventable and manageable condition that ensures safe pregnancies and improve health outcomes for mother and child. We aim to achieve this through education, advocacy, sensitization workshops and partnering with health institutions and research organizations to help bring our vision to life.

Preeclampsia Stories
Share your story and save a life.
“I had postpartum preeclampsia after the birth of my second child. I had never heard of it and was not aware of the symptoms. I was lucky to meet someone that advised me to check my blood pressure and that was my line to recovery. I was re-admitted and was prescribed meds that returned my BP to normal.”

“My wife started experiencing high blood pressure around the first trimester of pregnancy and it was detected during her antenatal visits. I am grateful for the early detection and how it saved her life.”
